TIDITSSIA STED - A Government of India project implemented by us.

Science and Technology Entrepreneur Development (STED) are promoted by NSTEDB Department of Science and Technology Government of India. In 2006 May TIDITSSIA was approved as like and to promoter 200 micro entrepreneur within period in Trichy District of 4 years 2006 – 2010. The details of projects promotion under the scheme for the year 2006-2007 is enclose as on. 

 Periodic Meeting and Seminars:

     

                                II                     ! II     I      IIIIWe are conducting periodic awareness campus and seminars with Tamil Nadu women entrepreneur Association (WEAT) and Mahalir Thittam DRDA, District – Industrials Centre - Sericulture Department and other institutions.

II. Role of TIDITSSIA under STED Project

TIDITSSIA STED Identify Entrepreneurs, Identify Project, Identify market Tie-Ups. Prepare Project reports interact with Bankers. Implement project. 2006 - 2007 -52 Projects were implemented in 2007 -2008 so-for 60 projects implemented and about 100 project are in pipeline.

III. Training under skill development: Under STED project we have arranged skill development programmes and have given training 200 to 300 persons in imitation Jewellery. This Training is given along with Mahalir Thittam and DRDA. In garments we have given training more than 200 persons tailoring and in Food Processing we have given training to more than 100 Persons  

IV. Exposure visits

Exposure visit to Triger Apparels Coimbatore and Harihar Alloys in Trichy, Were arranged to the Entrepreneurs which was very useful to them.

  V. Training under Mahalir Thittam and DIC

STED is having direct link with Mahalir Thittam and giving Training to unemployed youths. Along with DIC Garments training is under processing.

VI. Women Association

TIDITSSIA – STED along with Centre for women studies Baharathidasan University, an association for women was formed and all the help and activities are done by STED and CWS. The association is functioning well.

VII. On going activities

25 Machines Shop were promoted by STED, BHEL Trichy will give direct orders and TIDITSSIA – STED gave the project reports, Canara Bank is financing. About 30 Entrepreneurs are selected for BPO by STED and Canara Bank to establish 500 seater computers in Trichy District.

TIDITSSIA – EDC

TIDITSSIA –Entrepreneur development cell is formed during 2004 -2005 in order to hold Entrepreneur classes to budding Entrepreneurs, self help groups, personals, Women entrepreneurs, Final year Engineering and Science students, Unemployed youths etc., the EDC has a Technical Data cell of the association initially started with 400 project profiles in the data Bank. EDC TIDISSIA shall add more projects in the near future. EDC conducted more than 25 Entrepreneur Development Programme to the Final year students of Engineering and science colleges.

TIDITSSIA – EDC is acting as a partner to IECD TIDITSSIA – EDC resource persons will participate and conduct the programmes.

TIDITSSIA releasing a monthly news bulletin titled TIDITSSIA NEWS. It carries G.O’s of state and central Government; it provides vital information need to tune up managerial capabilities, Economic Statistics, Health care Information’s and scientific information’s. It also provides several information’s to up date several Industrial information’s.

Tiruchirappalli District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association (TIDITSSIA) is established in 1967.

TIDITSSIA – Association enrolls individuals member, Industries, Industrial associations based on their activities and institutional members, and as of date in all we have about 2000 members.                                            

TIDITSSIA STED

TIDITSSIA applied a specific Project to National Science and Technology  Entrepreneurship Development Board for the Project STED.  NSTEDB sanction the project in the year 2006-07.  This project is a Four years project.

TIDITSSIA STED PROJECT

In the project mode, the TIDITSSIA STED Project aims to bring about a socio-economic development of an area through the intervention of Science & Technology.  The project envisages matching of the material and the human resources of the district to create new enterprises and employment by usage of Science & Technology processes.  It involves identification of opportunities through a detailed scientific survey and exploitation of the opportunities thus identified by the entrepreneurs. 

Objective:

The broad objectives of the project are :-

• To identify feasible  resource based projects in the region covering both rural and urban areas.
• To identify S&T intervention (like technology selection , modification, alteration and dissemination)for exploiting the opportunities by prospective entrepreneurs.
• To improve working of existing enterprises through S&T intervention to upgrade the technology and Modernization of  units.
• To organize regular enterprises awareness programmes and skill development programmes for creating suitable entrepreneurial environment in the district.

STED – will help the Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in 

1)  Identifying the Project.

2)  Marketing their products manufacture in Micro & SSI units.

3)  Project Report preparation , Interaction with Institution.

4)  Effective Implementation of the Project.

5)  Skill developed Training to required Micro Entrepreneurs .

6)  Providing Escort service to the potential Entrepreneurs .

7)  Counseling and proper guidance to Entrepreneurs when ever they find difficulties and solving their problem for effective implementation to the project.

         We do A to Z to the Potential Entrepreneur to became Success in their New Venture.

The Entrepreneur Development Cell

(EDC)TIDITSSIA is formed during 2004-2005 in order to hold Entrepreneurship Development classes to budding Entrepreneurs, Self help group personals, Women Entrepreneur, Final year Engineering & Science Students, Unemployed youths etc., The EDC has a Technical Data Cell of the association.

Initially started with 400 project profiles in the Data Bank – which were project from TANSTIA-FNF SERVICE.  EDC TIDITSSIA like to add more projects, from Ministry of Food Processing  Industries and ITCOT,SISI ,NRDC, etc., The major activities conducted during 2004-06 EDC –TIDITSSIA conducted 16 well appreciated EDP Programmes during the year 2006-07.
